This song has been close to twenty years in the making. When it was given to me by God sometime in the early nineties, I thought it was just a song, but it morphed into a project called “the back to God project”, which now includes other songs among other works geared towards restoring Nigeria back to her former glory via a return to righteousness which is said to exalt a nation.

I had been trying to bring out the song since the year 2010 but not to much avail as it appeared that Nigeria wasn’t yet prepared for that change. But when I saw the recent protests and Nigerian youths for the first time in recent history, earnestly and passionately desiring for change in the country and a better nation, it occurred to me that perhaps the time for the song had come.

So I decided to put the song together as soon as I possibly could because it appeared so urgent a matter. And it has been confirmed by a dream and via revelation that the time for change has truly come.

I pray it would inspire the desire in every one of us to become a better person towards achieving our dream of a better Nigeria for all Nigerians. – Jesunyem George
