Nkem Ike, professionally known as Nkem, brings a unique perspective to the gospel music landscape as a multi-talented minister, actress, author, and convener of Built on Christ Ministry. Her journey from Nollywood actress to anointed minister reflects a deep commitment to using every platform for kingdom impact.
“Music has always been a powerful vessel for ministry,” says Nkem. “With ‘Glory,’ I wanted to create something that speaks to this generation in their language while lifting up the name of Jesus.”
Nkem’s entertainment career began in 2008 when she entered Nollywood, quickly establishing herself as a versatile actress and later transitioning into film production. In 2010, she won her first award in Ghana, Dubai, and a lot in Nigeria. Her academic foundation, built at Universal Primary Education Oji-River, Queens School Enugu, and solidified with a BA in English Language from the prestigious University of Lagos (UNILAG), equipped her with the communication skills and creative expression that now define her multifaceted ministry.
Beyond entertainment, Nkem has distinguished herself in the corporate world as a certified professional in Scrum, SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework), Agile Coaching, and Audit; demonstrating the leadership and organizational development expertise that drives her Build Christ Ministry.
