Ours is a story of two God Lovers who found a common ground in Kingdom advancement to thrive on together! Our background was founded in very strong Christian homes as both our parents are Ministers of the Gospel. This definitely prepared the ground for easy identification of God’s call upon our lives.
We were both in Church Choir groups in our parents’ churches while growing up and we also continued this in the university where we met in 2002. We graduated from university and went our separate ways. Our paths crossed again in 2010. Prior to our starting a relationship, I became a Parish Pastor in the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) and God’s work advanced exceedingly in our hands.
A strong desire for kingdom advancement has been a common ground for both of us from inception. So it was a welcome development when the prompting of God for Gospel Music Ministry came.
The inspiration for this song came on a Saturday evening in February 2017 when we were working on a song. We were not sure of what to expect in the new Music endeavor we want to embark upon, we were lost in thoughts on how this would be possible having left active Choir membership for almost 10 years!
But God came to assert that He rules in the affairs of all men and when he says it is time, no one can state otherwise! He is unchallengeable, unquestionable and undefeatable! Just as he prompted Moses to commission a search party for the land of Canaan to take possession afterwards; He impressed on our hearts His readiness to do what He alone can do on earth through the Music Ministry He has called us into! We are not taking this for granted and we thank Him for extending this privilege to us.
We have been married for 4 years and blessed with two great boys!
It is our prayer that every life that will come in contact with our music will receive the fulfilment of God’s promise to us in Jesus name, amen!
May His name alone be praised!!!
