Tim Godfrey, the President of Republic of Xtreme and Executive Producer of Ewuro has this to say “Having witnessed violence against my mother under the guise of culture and tradition when my dad passed on, the occurrence and recurrence of this ill has become endemic and what is even more troubling is the extent to which people go to cover it up, both the victims and the aggressors. We are therefore inspired to creatively address it and re-awaken our emotions to the true nature of the female experience in Nigeria in the hope that we will begin to engage in fruitful conversations about this issue and ultimately, change will begin.”
