Cute Bawo Sagay popularly known as Cute Sagay is a Nigerian (Itsekiri) born worship leader, global brand, musician, multi-award winning singer, songwriter, humanitarian, change agent, model & show host. He is a member of the Praise Nation, Christ Embassy, Lagos, Nigeria.
Family means everything to him, and this includes the extended “world” family, hence his vision of spreading the love message across the globe, through his music.
Cute has been blessed and opportune to have begun his musical career from the early age of Nine (9), and even though he is privileged enough to cut through all genres of music, his musical foundation is basically R&B/Soul, Soft Rock and Pop.
He defines his music as soul stirring and inspiring, coated with beautiful lyrics and accompanied by heavenly melodies that reaches the very heart of the world, cutting through age, sex, colour and religious barriers.
Cute Sagay penned and recorded the socially driven song Make That Change (2010) (a direct focus on the global family), with its soul searching lyrics and melody. He has several other popular songs to his credit, chiefly being Imela (2011), Believer (2012), Take The World (2013), Our God (2014), Onyedikagi (2015) and My Yahweh (2017).
The critically acclaimed video for Imela was shot in January of 2013, but was not released to media till the 18th of April of the same year. Imela was nominated for video of the year at the African Gospel Music Awards (2013) which was held in the UK.
Our God won two awards at the MEGA awards for the Single of the Year & the Best Alternative Single of the Year 2014.
Cute Sagay made history as the first Nigerian artist to have a holographic video shoot used in commemorating the Nigeria at 50 event held in Accra, Ghana in 2010.
He has graced various stages across Africa while serving in his home church, Lagos, Nigeria.
